Scott Hewett (Owner & Principal Physiotherapist)
~ Servicing the Centenary Community for over twenty years ~
Scott Hewett is the owner and primary physiotherapist at Alpha Physio. His qualifications include a Diploma of Physiotherapy from the Auckland Technical Institute (yes, he is that old – no bachelor degrees in his day) and a Level 2 certificate from the Watson Headache and Migraine Institute. He also has a wealth of knowledge and experience in many facets of physiotherapy treatment with special interest and skills in treating chronic neck and back injuries, chronic whiplash, TMJ (jaw) dysfunctions, Coccydynia, Vertigo, Migraines, and postural and Psoas dysfunctions.
As owner of the first physiotherapy clinic in the Centenary area since 1996, involvement in the community has been one of Scott’s passions and he has been very active in the 4074 community, schools, and clubs, supporting many different groups over the years. He leads a team in the MS Brissy to Bay bike ride every year raising funds for Multiple Sclerosis Research. Thanks to his friendly nature, his many long term patients and friends in the community are well aware of his passions for cycling, both snow and water skiing, four wheel driving, cars, and red wine as well as all things New Zealand including of course the mighty All Blacks.
